Ralph Lauren Hither Hills Round Oak Extending Dining Table
$6,800.00
A handsome round oak "Hither Hills" extending dining table made by Ralph Lauren. The Palladian style table features a broad circular top raised on a grouping of four reeded neoclassical Greco-Roman style square shaped columns supported by ionic feet mounted to a substantial pedestal base. The smooth top is crafted out of quarter-sawn oak with richly figured woodgrain, and sits atop a frieze apron fully wrapped in fine reeded detailing interrupted by carved rosette medallions. The table is fitted with a self-storing rack-and-pinion extending mechanism allowing a large 22 inch wide leaf to be inserted. A Ralph Lauren maker's plaque is present under the table. Crafted in a blend of Neoclassical and Regency styles, the table is well-suited for use as a dining table, center table, or library table in a variety of spaces. The table has ample leg room measuring 27.25 inches from floor to apron. The table is sturdy and solid having excellent joinery and craftsmanship with an intentional lightly distressed patina on the finish to mimic age. The table has a distinctive neoclassical inspired profile and warm honey toned patina on the oak. From an estate in Marin County, CA. Includes one extending 22 inch leaf that increases the size from a 63.5 inch round table to an oval shape table measuring 85.5 inches wide.
