Fantastic 20th century lacquered side or console table attributed to John Dickinson for the illustrious design firm Randolph and Hein, San Francisco, California. The rare table features a zoomorphic 8 leg design supporting a thick rectangular top. Crafted from wood with an intentionally distressed patina having a craquelure or alligatored finish over the rich, dark woodgrains. Each leg ends with a hoof inspired foot as they are all conjoined on each side with a stretcher base. The thick top has shaped or clipped corners and a thick craquelure lacquer finish. The table is sturdy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The table is unsigned purported to be designed by John Dickinson for a grand mansion in San Francisco, California.
