French Art Nouveau Two-Tier Wirework Boulangerie Baker's Rack
$2,000.00
A charming French two-tier iron wirework baker's rack, plant stand, or pâtisserie display. The design features a defining double gallery rail of continuous looped wirework wrapping both tiers, creating a intricate scrolling ringed design. The original patina is retained, creating a rich oxidized finish in warm russet tones, lending to the authentic Boulangerie or Pâtisserie character. The framework is constructed from bent iron wire with X-bracing and circular roundel details, raised on elegantly scrolled feet joined by a box stretcher. One elevated rear platform and one frontal lower platform create space for breads, pastries, plants, linens, or flowers. Suited to use as a baker's rack, florist stand, étagère, display console, garden rack, retail market display, or storage. The stand is sturdy with a desirable aged patina on the finish. Provenance: From the estate or artist Ira Yeager (American 1938-2022) Calistoga, CA.
