Distinctive Japanese Showa period patio and garden stool tea set crafted from glazed ceramic pottery. The set consists of four stools and one round table measuring 24.5 inches in diameter and 21.75 inches high. The table has a nearly 3 inch thick top and a tapered form. The set has a gorgeous deep indigo and cobalt blue glaze and a unique ombre or color variation with a mottled or speckled finish. The drum form stools are 15 inches high with molded ring forms around the bases. Sold as a set of five pieces from an estate in San Francisco, CA. The seats are lightly stamped on bottoms "Made in Japan". The chairs have a sculptural style and monolithic design in the Asian aesthetic.
