Set of Six French Directoire Style Dining Chairs Bronze Accents
$5,800.00
A refined set of six French neoclassical dining chairs comprised of two armchairs and four side chairs, executed in the Louis XVI or Directoire style. The set features warm honey-toned wood frames with crisp classical detailing and bronze accents. The frames have a gracefully curved back in a gondola style rising to a flat seat crest. Each seat back is fitted with an inset upholstered panel in an espresso striped fabric pairing with a natural matching welt, and crowned in a diamond or rhombus form plaque embellished with gilt-bronze rosette and foliate decoration. The seats are tailored in a light neutral oatmeal toned fabric contrasting with the darker inset backs. The armchairs retain padded armrests in the same textile, supported by turned uprights. The legs are crafted with a fluted and tapered design ending with ball feet. Decorative gilt bronze rosettes accent the seat rail corner blocks with a distinctly French or Parisian taste. The armchairs measure 22" wide, 22" deep, 35.5" high, 25.5" arm height, and 18" seat height. The side chairs measure 19" wide, 22" deep, 35.5" high, and 18" seat height. The chairs have an opulent design and dramatic sculptural profile in the Greco-Roman neoclassical aesthetic. The chairs are sturdy with solid construction and later upholstery. Sold as a set of six chairs. Erin Lane Estate specializes in European dining chairs with over 1000 in stock ready to ship from our California warehouse.
