A striking set of eight French Art Deco style dining chairs distinguished by their sculptural gondola sloped-back silhouette and dramatic glossy black lacquer finish. Each chair features a broad arched crest with open cut-outs flanking a central splat, finished with a contrasting outlined rectangular cartouche. The swept side rails flow forward in a continuous curve, giving the chairs an elegant and architectural profile. Presentable light neutral upholstery adds some contrast to the dark, glossy frames. The tapering legs end in a small, graceful curve. The frames are sturdy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship.
