Handsome set of six English Anglo-Indian hand-carved hardwood dining chairs. The set consists of 2 side chairs measuring 21 inches wide and 23 inches deep and 4 host armchairs measuring 2 inches larger. Beautifully crafted in the Regency taste with column style splats and large, gracefully curved arms. The teak has a dark finish that showcases the radiant woodgrains. The chairs have been covered with a whimsical leopard/cheetah print fabric that while being vintage shows very well. The chair frames are sturdy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The design draws inspiration from neoclassical, Empire, and Louis Philippe. The seats are supported by klismos style saber legs. Sold as a set of six. From an estate in Hollywood, California.
