Fantastic 20th century Italian carved pine console table decorated in the baroque taste. The table features a 1 inch thick rouge/rosso marble top with white veining in a Terra Cotta sienna tone. The carved base is centered by a large cartouche face in the Greek style resembling Apollo on the frieze. The apron is decorated with C-scrolls and acanthus having a parcel gilt finish. The table has an intentionally distressed patina to mimic age. The top is supported by dramatic ram's head legs ending with hoof feet. Beautifully detailed with intricate scrollwork and a distinctive profile. From an estate in Beverly Hills, California.
