Gorgeous labeled pair of lacquered rattan and wicker dining armchairs made in the organic modern coastal style by Bielecky Brothers Woodside, New York. The chairs feature a thick frame crafted from bundled stick rattan lashed together with wicker cane laces. Made in the style and manner of the President's state chair used on the USS Potomac by FDR on his yacht. The rattan has a lovely olive or forest green finish with wicker laces in a light brown cognac finish. The generous seats have 25 inch high arms and are fitted with loose seat cushions having newly upholstered covers in a textured linen style fabric. The vertical square backs are contrasted by the gracefully curved arms. The backs and sides have geometric vertical poles giving the chairs distinctive, opulent profile. Makers plaque on bottoms of seats. Sold as a pair.
