Iconic mid-century modern spool drink table designed by John Vesey (American 1924-1992). The side table features a spool shaped frame constructed from steel and brass fitted with an inset pane of thick glass on top. The sides have gracefully curved legs that conjoin on top and bottom with x shaped stretchers. This particular table is one of the largest we have seen in its kind and unique that it is crafted from steel and contrasting brass legs. Sturdy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The finish has a light patina and light scratches on finish to commensurate age and use. Stunning example in a large scale size. Could be used as a side table, end table, or a dramatic center table.
