Distinctive 19th century French bouillotte table or games table crafted in the grand Louis XVI taste. The round table features a rare Turquin-Incarnat marble top inset in a fantastic pink and white tone. The marble is from the Caunes-Minervois, Languedoc-Roussillon region the Aude department of France. The top is supported by a mahogany base decorated with ebony marquetry inlay in a geometric chevron pattern bordering the apron and legs. The apron is fitted with two small pull-out drink trays and two small storage drawers. The marble top has a patinated brass gallery edge with a pierced border. The elegant tapered legs end with brass sabots. The table has a desirable aged patina consistent with age and use. The rare marble has a polished finish and opulent style on a grand scale.
