A grand sophisticated set of twelve "No. 442" upholstered dining armchairs designed by A. Rudin, Los Angeles, CA. The bespoke large set consists of all generous sized dining armchairs. The hardwood chair frames feature gently curved waterfall backs, elegantly tapered squared front legs, and sabered back legs crafted out of alderwood in a rich espresso finish. The modern chairs are constructed with closed arms and broad backs, resulting in a tailored and formal silhouette. The set is upholstered in a custom luxurious champagne-toned jacquard fabric with a subtle rippled, wave-textured weave that catches the light and adds tactile depth to the chairs. The frames are sturdy and solid having excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The chairs are in exceptional condition with a tidy fit and finish. The legs sit atop small nylon glides for easy movement and protection of flooring. The chairs are crafted in a modern 21st century design with an Art Deco inspired style, well-suited for a variety of spaces. Each chair retains is maker's mark label under the seat. Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully crafted with strong joinery and solid construction. Good condition with wear including light marks, minor stains, creasing, and fading to upholstery that is very difficult to see. Minor scuffs, and small nicks to frames as expected.
