Set of Ten French Baroque Style Walnut Masked Dining Chairs


Fascinating set of ten 19th century hand-carved walnut dining chairs made in the French baroque or renaissance revival style. The chairs feature tall backs with intricately carved grotesque masks. The masks have acanthus wrapped eyes and curled horns on top centered by a bacchus style face. The set consists of eight side chairs and two armchairs measuring 23 inches wide and 20 inches deep. The seats are supported by turned legs conjoined by stretchers. The chairs are beautifully crafted with an intriguing design and gothic style. Price is for the set of ten.
