Set of Six Napoleonic Empire Style Bronze Mounted Dining Chairs

Extraordinary set of six mahogany dining chairs made in the grand Napoleonic Empire taste. The chairs feature beautifully crafted mahogany frames with rich, deep woodgrains on the finish. The square back is conjoined to a square seat both having velvet covered cushions with a subtle gilt laurel leaf border. The seats are supported by neoclassical tapered and fluted legs with patinated bronze mounts on the top and ending with brass sabot capped feet. The chairs have a dramatic profile with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Vintage upholstery that still shows well. Signed by cabinet maker on bottom of frames.
