Set of Fourteen Baroque Style Os de Mouton Dining Chairs
$9,800.00
Grand set of fourteen bespoke walnut dining chairs designed in the opulent baroque Louis XIII taste. The chairs feature large walnut frames with iconic tall flat hump crest backs supported by Os de Mouton or mutton bone legs. The set consists of ten side chairs and four large host chairs two having arms. The walnut carved frames have an intentionally, distressed patina to mimic a 17th century baroque chair. The frames are upholstered with a plush velvet fabric on the backs having a subtle nearly invisible scrolled pattern. The seats are upholstered with a chic, metallic faux leather naugahyde having a very subtle exotic snake skin pattern that is soft and supple. Exceptional, well-preserved condition. The frames are strong and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The tones of the wood and fabric compliment each other well. Sold as a set of fourteen. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA. Very good condition.
