Set of Four Louis XVI Style Painted Dining Chairs

Stunning set of four lacquer painted dining chairs made in the grand French Louis XVI taste. The chairs feature beautifully carved frames with an oval cameo or balloon-shaped backs having a floral spray on the tops. The seats have a bowed front with neoclassical style rosettes on the corners supported by turned, fluted legs ending with toupie feet. The frames have an intentionally aged patina on the lacquered finish to mimic age. Upholstered with a dramatic crimson, red velvet fabric with a textured design. Solid and sturdy with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. From an estate in San Francisco, CA. Perfect for the holiday table.
