Set of Eight Tommi Parzinger X-Back Mahogany Dining Chairs
$15,000.00
An iconic and rare set of eight mid-century modern dining chairs consisting of six side chairs and two host armchairs designed by Tommi Parzinger (German 1903-1981) for Charak Furniture. Each chair features a refined, gently curved and tapering square back with an "X" form back splat having intricate fluted/reeded detailing. The frames of the chairs are constructed from rich dark espresso-toned mahogany with slender tapered legs, and supporting stretchers, giving the chairs an airy and crisp silhouette. Each chair has a generously padded, boxed seat newly upholstered in a textured bone linen style fabric with welted edges, providing a sharp contrast to the frames. The elegant chairs are executed in an American Mid-Century Modern style having a tidy fit and finish as seen in photos. The chairs are sturdy with excellent joinery and craftsmanship in exceptional condition. The arms of the armchairs measure 25.5" high. Armchair measurements are listed in the listing. The side chairs measure approximately 20" wide, 20" deep, 34.75" tall. Sold as a set of eight chairs.
