An iconic and rare set of eight mid-century modern dining chairs consisting of six side chairs and two host armchairs designed by Tommi Parzinger (German 1903-1981) for Charak Furniture. Each chair features a refined, gently curved and tapering square back with an "X" form back splat having intricate fluted/reeded detailing. The six side chairs are upholstered in a rich polychrome geometric textile of gold, coral, olive, and cream tones, while the two host armchairs are finished in a patterned sage green vegan leather with a subtle embossed finish and piped edges. The frames of the chairs are constructed out of a rich dark mahogany with slender tapered legs and supporting stretchers, giving the chairs a airy and crisp silhouette. The elegant chairs are executed in an American Mid-Century Modern style having a tidy fit and finish as seen in photos. The chairs are sturdy having excellent joinery and craftsmanship in exceptional condition. The arms of the armchairs measure 25.5" high. Armchair measurements are listed in the ad, side chairs measure approximately 20" wide, 20" deep, 34.75" high with a seat height of 19". Sold as a set of eight chairs.
