Dramatic set of eight wrought iron patio and garden dining chairs designed in Italy by Mario Papperzini for John Salterini. Hand-crafted in the neoclassical taste with geometric lattice seats and backs. The frames have a hand-hammered finish with a recent repainted finish. The backs have peaked corners ending with whimsical gilt ball finials. The chair legs are conjoined by gracefully curved stretchers. The chairs are sturdy and solid with strong joinery. Sold as a set of eight. From an estate in Hollywood, CA.
