Charming wrought iron patio and garden chaise longue or lounge made in the style and manner of Rose Tarlow, Melrose House. The lounge features a thick iron frame with a neoclassical style lattice inset on the seat and back. The back is adjustable with 5 settings including laying flat. The back and foot have a whimsical humped crest and the seat is very wide flanked by large scrolled arms measuring 24.5 inches high. The lounge is 38 inches high with the seat in the most upright position and 85 inches wide with the seat laying flat. Very heavy and sturdy with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The painted iron has an aged, distressed patina on the finish as seen in photos. The paint remnants are robins egg green with verdigris. Provenance: From the J.J. Blick Lunkenheimer House in Pasadena, CA.
