A grand Ralph Lauren Home "Bel Air" sofa, designed by Ralph Lauren in North Carolina measuring over 8 feet long circa 2008. The massive sofa features a striking vintage Italian multicolor striped velvet upholstery with a soft ecru ground with alternating bands of crimson, black, cream, and a subtle green pinstripe. The three-seat sofa is crafted with a low sloped back, deep rolled English arms, and a broad skirtless apron. The sofa sits atop turned walnut bun feet in the front with thick squared feet in the back. The benchmade hardwood beech frame is individually produced and finished with the highest level of hand-craftsmanship having solid joinery. The vintage upholstery fabric shows well with a faded patina and losses on the top and rear from exposure as seen in photos. Some areas of the silk fabric are thinning. The sofa is fitted with three large loose seat cushions and four loose back cushions. Crafted in Ralph Lauren's signature English Country style, the sofa is well-suited for a variety of spaces. Made in Mt. Airy, North Carolina United States by Henredon for Ralph Lauren. Arms of the sofa measure 25" tall. Original order tags and makers label under seat cushion. Upholstery condition has been considered in pricing.
