Sublime pair of lacquer painted armchairs by Rose Tarlow, Melrose House, Hollywood, CA. Known as Brighton armchairs they feature a carved decorative frame with a dramatic scrolled slat back and scrolled arms. The generous seats are newly upholstered in a subtle chenille stripe pattern fabric. The seats are supported by animal legs in the front ending with paw feet. The wood is painted with an intentionally aged, distressed patina on the finish having craquelure and amazing parcel gilt accents throughout. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship from a penthouse suite in the Wilshire Corridor Condos, Beverly Hills, CA.
