Sublime pair of mid-century modern French iron crosillion lounge chairs or armchairs. The iconic chairs feature large iron frames decorated with lattice on the back and arms. The whimsical criss-cross lattice is crafted from wavy metal tube. The generous seats have been newly upholstered in a stylish white boucle fabric with gracefully curved arms measuring 24 inches high. The chairs have been refinished having an opulent satin gilt metal finish. The frames are heavy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The seats are supported by straight round legs ending with round ball finial feet. Similar chairs have been produced by several French Maison ateliers and also by Milling Road from Baker in the 1990's. Iconic French profile and dramatic scale. Sold as a pair.
