Phenomenal pair of 18th century Italian demi-lune console tables featuring neoclassical Greco-Roman plaques having an Apollo bust with a radiating sunburst mounted to the frieze. The console tables are crafted from walnut with rich woodgrain patterns each leg is surmounted by an Etruscan style urn motif on the frieze. The square column style legs are reeded and have a decorative waisted capitol on the top. The tables measure 26 inches from the floor to the aprons. The tables have a desirable aged patina with fading to the tops and old repairs as expected given age and use. The tables fit together to form a round center table for an entry or foyer. Sold as a pair.
