McGuire Organic Modern Rattan Target Design Lounge Chair

Rare oversized rattan lounge chair or armchair made in the California organic modern coastal style by McGuire. The large chair features a pole rattan frame decorated with Elinor McGuire's target design on the sides and back. The chair has flared square arms and an angular back fitted with deep seat cushions. The target has an ebonized black lacquer center ring. The rattan is reinforced with leather rawhide laces on the exposed joints. The leather has a lovely aged patina with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The vintage fabric has a geometric striped diamond pattern on the soft fabric. The fabric is lightly faded and has a loss on the top as seen in photos. From an estate in Napa, CA. McGuire plaque on bottom.
