Opulent French mahogany bibliotheque style bookcase cabinet crafted in the Napoleonic French empire taste. Constructed on a grand scale the cabinet features three pairs of storage doors on the bottom of the case with radiant mahogany veneered fronts. The top of the case is fronted by three pairs of glass front doors surmounted by a cornice molding supported by four neoclassical style bronze mounted columns. The front of the case opens to a large storage area with adjustable shelves. The case is decorated with Napoleonic motifs and bronze laurel wreaths. The doors have bronze hardware and lockplates with a key bearing a French NF Ameublement stamp. Very heavy and solid construction with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The mahogany has a rich, polished finish. Distinctive profile supported by bracket feet.
