A vivid and colorful oil on masonite board painting titled, "Yellow Oval with Mixed Bouquet," by Dorothy Cutter, (California, 20th Century). The 36" × 36" board panel centered by a warm and overflowing bouquet of garden roses, poppies, tulips, marigolds, and daisies cascading from a wicker basket onto a navy-striped cloth. The stunning composition is contained within a large oval medallion set dramatically against a vibrant saffron-orange ground covered edge-to-edge in a repeating pattern of celadon dotted patterns and floral motifs. The painted surface has a textured finish Cutter is known for over the intricate detail work. The work is signed "Cutter" at lower right, within a light blue rectangular cartouche inside the composition. The painting is also signed and dated verso. The painting is housed in a double gold-leaf wood frame with linen mat with a tag reading "Art Haus Creative Framing" of Morro Bay, California. Exceptional condition as seen in photos.
