Pair of Midcentury French Iron Lounge Chairs After Royere

$14,800.00

An elegant pair of French 20th century wrought iron lounge chairs after Jean Royere. The chairs feature crisp white powder-coated frames with airy open lattice backs and sides. The gracefully curved iron frames are designed with rounded tubular arms ending with whimsical ball finial feet. The unique metalwork of the lattice side and curved back panels combines welded wavy vine-like elements into a refined geometric diamond trellis pattern. Each chair is fitted with a thick tailored box cushion in a soft and modern cornflower blue with piped edges, giving the chairs a coastal French Riviera lightness paired with the glossy white frames. Very heavy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Crafted in the style of mid-century modern French garden furniture with a distinct modern and coastal flair, the chairs are well suited next to a pool, on a terrace, patio, or in a sunroom or pool house. Iconic French profile hand-crafted on a large scale. Sold as a pair. Arms of chairs measure 24" tall.
