Gorgeous pair of organic modern rattan bamboo barrel form armchairs made in the California coastal manner and style of McGuire. Produced by California artisans in Los Angeles the chairs have an iconic mid-century modern form. The rattan has an intentionally aged patina with a lightly cerused or glazed finish. The pole rattan frame is reinforced with leather rawhide strapping on the exposed joints. The round back has a beautifully reeded finish crafted from split rattan. The original upholstery shows minor wear but is still presentable. From an estate in Santa Barbara, CA. Arms measure 25.5 inches high at the front.
