Amazing pair of of labeled early 20th century adirondack or lounge chairs designed by Heywood-Wakefield Co. Wakefield, Massachusetts. Arts and crafts period chairs with an aesthetic movement influence crafted from rattan, stick wicker, and peeled rattan wicker reinforcements on the exposed joints. The large frames have a flat back conjoined to gracefully curved arms. The deep seat features a thick seat cushion with recent linen fabric upholstery. The wicker has a desirable aged patina with stable, solid joinery given age and use. The arms measure 22 inches high and the seat is 16 inches high with cushion. The organic modern chairs are made in the President chair style with a large scale profile. From an estate in the Napa Valley, CA.
