Bespoke lacquered rattan footstool or bench seat made in the California coastal organic modern style by McGuire artisans. The stool features a robust pole rattan frame having a stylish ecru lacquered finish custom-ordered from McGuire with an inset pearl "M" on the stretchers. The rattan is lashed together with cream-toned leather rawhide laces on the exposed joints. The frame is topped with a thick cushion having a faux-leather reptilian skin or faux ostrich textured finish in a chocolate tone. The seat is sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Original order tags and maker's plaque on bottom. Very good, well preserved condition. From an estate in the Napa Valley, CA.
