Gorgeous large two-part bookcase cabinet featuring a weathered painted finish in the Swedish Gustavian taste. Crafted from pine in Italy with paneled sides and doors. The top piece has a three-shelf interior finished in a robin's egg light blue tone. The middle and sides have notched pilaster form moldings surmounted by a cornice top. The bottom cabinet has four doors opening to a shelved interior with original lock plates and key. The exterior has notched pilaster form moldings on each end and center. The glazed painted finish has a desirable aged patina with a distressed finish. Very heavy and solid. This cabinet could also serve as a cupboard or display cabinet.
