Imposing 20th century library bookcase crafted from solid oak. The impressive upper case features two sets of beveled glass panel doors with neoclassical ionic style columns separating them. The doors open to a large four adjustable shelf display area with later added lighting. The interior is lined with water silk fabric in a light rose gold tone. The bottom dresser features pull out writing tables on each side and a large storage area with four doors below. The top of the case has a large cornice or crown molding. Original lock plates and keys included. Very heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The oak has a desirable aged patina on the natural light finish. The large scale cabinet showcases the lovely oak woodgrains.
