Handsome mid-century modern souffle ottoman pouf or footstool constructed in the manner and style of Karl Springer. The pouf features a rare soft, supple leather cover in a rich, dark chocolate tone. The frame is crafted from oak with a dramatic gilt finished base having a textured, antique aged patina. Attributed to Marge Carson the stool is very solid and sturdy with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. From an estate in San Francisco, California.
