Elongated Georgian Style Mahogany Leather Footstool

Handsome elongated mahogany footstool made in the George III taste. The footstool features a nearly 4 foot long mahogany frame upholstered with leather hides in a British green color bordered with patinated brass tack nail needs. The frame is sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The stool is supported by square reeded legs conjoined by an H stretcher. The leather is soft and supple with good color saturation and plush cushioning. Beautifully aged patina from an estate in the Napa Valley, CA. The diminutive height allows it to be stored or displayed under a console or end of a bed.
