19th century Japanese Edo period six-panel screen painted in Haboku (splashed ink) style. Depicts Four Seasons landscape scenes with two portraits of Chinese sages. One sage is traveling in the snow, the other is with a crane. Kano school ink on paper applied to a dramatic gold leaf square ground. Each panel has an artists seal on the bottom. Set in black lacquered frames. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.

Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use. Age appropriate wear with foxing, fading, stains, and small losses as seen in photos. Rear side has paper losses.
