Rare and iconic 1st edition circa 1971 Mah Jong modular sectional sofa consisting of ten element pillows. The sofa was designed by Hans Hopfer for Roche Bobois in this avant-garde design which features a rounder, softer shape to the cushions than the later iterations. The rare set consists of two back rests and eight square pillows. The fabric has five pieces with a dramatic geometric diamond design over a chic pumpkin orange background. The other five cushions are solid orange. The large set as shown measures 114 inches wide and 75 inches deep. Bold style with modular flexibility that offers many design possibilities and shapes. Each cushion was made entirely by hand in a French workshop. Original labels on bottoms The sectional is located in our California warehouse ready for delivery and installation.

Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully crafted with solid construction. Age appropriate wear with minor fading as seen in photos. Very good, well-preserved condition given age and use. Minor spots and light stains which are difficult to see.
