Rose Tarlow Style Chinoiserie Scalloped Lacquer Coffee Table

$2,800.00

A beautifully crafted cocktail, coffee, or occasional table crafted in the manner and style of Rose Tarlow, Melrose House, Hollywood, CA. The table features a shaped rectangular top composed of continuous scalloped lobes forming a raised gallery around the top. The top is finished in an intentionally distressed faux tortoiseshell crackle lacquer, rendered in tones of dusty mauve and ebonized black with a craquelure glaze finish, evoking the look of a tortoiseshell veneer. The edge of the gallery rim is accented by a fine gilt lining the border. The apron below the top repeats the continuous scalloped design and is banded with a matching gilt trim. The table is supported by four gracefully curved cabriole legs, each with a carved shoulder bracket and tapering into a small pointed foot fitted with protective glides. Crafted in a Chinoiserie style after Rose Tarlow's iconic scalloped coffee table. The table is well suited for use as a low occasional, cocktail, or coffee table in a variety of interiors. Beautifully crafted with solid joinery having a distinctive aged patina.
