A refined equestrian-style inspired "Dalton" dining chair or side chair designed by Ralph Lauren. The Dalton chair features a mahogany frame with a gently reclined rectangular back. The frame has a generous boxed seat supported by tapering legs upholstered in a beautiful caramel or cognac-toned saddle aniline leather in the Modern English Country House style. The distinctive chair is executed in a restrained style with no exposed wood or ornamental additions, drawing the focus to the rich leather and simple form. The leather is soft and supple with subtly stitched seams. Sturdy and solid having excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a classical profile in the style of Jean-Michel Frank. Fit and finished like a fine Italian suite. The versatile chair is functional as a side chair, dining chair, or a desk chair. The Dalton chair features a bench made construction in Italy and finished in the U.S. by Theodore Alexander.
