Ico Parisi Style Italian Walnut Spider Leg Dining Table

$7,800.00

A sophisticated mid-century modern oval glass-top walnut dining table crafted in the style and manner of Ico Parisi (Italian 1916-1996). The design features a dramatically carved walnut base composed of four tapered legs joined by sinuously shaped stretchers that meet at an open diamond-form center, creating a distinctive spider motif design. The warm honey-toned walnut base supports a clear oval glass top, creating a refined floating effect and allowing the full geometry of the understructure to remain visible from every angle. The frame transitions cleanly and gracefully from the legs to the stretcher, giving a subtle biomorphic quality to the table. The table is crafted in an Italian Mid-Century Modern and Organic Modern style after the famous Italian architect and designer Ico Parisi. Highly rare design as this table represents the only example we have ever seen. Functional as a dining table, breakfast table, or a center table. Provenance of a Gramercy Park, New York City estate. The table has a leg clearance of 29" with 0.5" thick glass, while the base alone measures 44.5" wide by 30.5" deep. Beautifully finished with impressive craftsmanship.
