A dramatic pair of mid-century twin sized patinated iron bed frames crafted in a whimsical French Neoclassical style. The distinctive pair features a handcrafted wrought iron frame headboard, each shaped with a gently scalloped crown-top rail that rises to a central peak and is finished with three turned ball finials. The lower register of each headboard is worked in an open diamond trellis lattice fretwork design of slender iron rods, giving the pair an open and airy silhouette. The hand-worked iron has a beautifully aged subtle patina on the finish with a rich bronzed tone. The headboards are attached to later modern black steel twin sized bed frames. The pair is crafted in an elegant French Neoclassical Regency style in the manner of Maison Jean Royere, and inspired by designs by Mario Papperzini, and John Salterini. The set is well-suited for a variety of bedrooms with a well-heeled profile. From an estate in San Francisco, CA. Mattress, linens, and bedding not included, only for display purposes.
