An elegant gilded iron faux bois branch "Diego" coffee or cocktail table made by Oly Studio San Francisco, California. The table is constructed with a clean, matte white lacquered thick resin rectangular top supported by a highly decorative gilded iron base in a faux bois twig branch form. The base features four slender legs modeled in an organic branch form with irregular knobby nodes throughout. The legs and horizontal side stretchers are connected by diagonal X-form cross-stretchers converging on a central looped ring accent, a hallmark of the Maison Baguès atelier, Diego Giacometti, and the broader Paris decorative arts styles of the mid-20th century. The base is finished in a warm antiqued gilt iron with rich patination, creating a beautiful contrast with the crisp blank white resin top. The table is heavy with solid joinery and excellent craftsmanship.
