A decorative round giltwood mirror designed by Ferguson Copeland, crafted in the form of an ornate gilt laurel wreath on a large scale measuring over 4 feet tall. The richly modeled frame is composed of a dramatic foliate crest. The mirror wreath frame is decorated with overlapping laurel leaves in deep relief, finished in a warm intentionally antiqued gold, accentuating the sophisticated detailing. The top and bottom of the wreath is centered by a central tied ribbon detailing. The opulent design draws from Neoclassical and Louis XVI styles. The piece retains the original Ferguson Copeland tag on the back. The versatile piece is functional over mantel, in a foyer, a dressing room, or as an dramatic entry decoration.
