Opulent mahogany and leather executive office swivel desk armchair hand-made by Titchmarsh and Goodwin Suffolk, England. The large mahogany frame made in the manner and style of a British Gainsborough chair with large padded arms measuring 28 inches high. Each arm has a carved support decorated with scrolled acanthus. The leather upholstery has lovely patinated brass tack borders. The generous seat is supported by a four leg base with reeded legs ending with brass casters. The chair has a desirable aged patina and faded leather upholstery that is soft and supple. Classic British profile and excellent joinery and craftsmanship. From a century old cabinet maker with a fine pedigree of famous clients from around the world. Purchased from an estate in Napa Valley, CA. Maker stamp on bottom of chair.
