Massive country English provincial farmhouse dining table crafted from oak. The table features a 3 inch thick oak plank top that is reinforced with iron hardware. The top is supported by a large trestle base having 4 inch thick, square legs that have been turned. The legs are conjoined by a long stretcher and end with bun feet. The trestle base is constructed with wood peg joinery. The table measures 23.5 inches from the floor to the apron. Very heavy and solid with a lovely aged patina on the oak finish. Amazing scale and presence with a rich finish that showcases the oak woodgrains.
