Christian Liaigre Style Ebony Oak Courier Dining Table 9.5 Ft
$5,800.00
A monumental oak trestle "Long Courier" style dining table after the original design by Christian Liaigre for Holly Hunt. Crafted out of rich ebonized stained solid oak, the table features a massive rectangular top measuring 2" thick with gently rounded corners and a subtly beveled waterfall edge the table is known for. The table features a bold double sawhorse-form trestle base comprised of two crossed X-shaped stretchers. The top extends via two additional matching leaves, each adding 16" onto each side of the able for a total width of 114"inches or 9.5 feet. The table is finished with a dark lacquer ebony toned finish, letting the lighter natural wood come through at points to create a rich and deep patina. The refined table is crafted in a blend of Minimalist and French Mid-Century Modern styles with influence taken from Provincial farmhouse sawhorse tables, and is well-suited for a variety of interiors. Liaigre designed this table style for his house in Ile de Re, France. Solid joinery and craftsmanship with an iconic dramatic profile. The table measures 28" from floor to bottom of apron for ample leg room. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA.
