A handsome set of ten mid-century country French Provincial style dining chairs with rush seats, comprised of eight side chairs and two armchairs. The design balances a refined country farmhouse aesthetic with sculptural detailing. Crafted from radiant fruitwood, each chair features a gently curved crest rail, a ladder-back style rail-work, and softly splayed and tapering legs supported by a stretcher base. The seats are traditional hand-woven natural rush in a tight envelope pattern providing both visual texture and comfortable resilience. The armchairs feature gracefully shaped arms and turned front supports. The chairs blend rustic traditional country and elegant French Provincial styles with compact proportions and a rich and deep wood tone. The chairs are sturdy and strong having excellent joinery and construction. The set is in exceptional condition with a classic french profile and design. Sold as a set of ten.
