Remarkable grand set of fourteen neoclassical style dining chairs designed by Nancy Corzine in the California romantic style. The chairs feature a walnut frame with a klismos style tablet back decorated with 22k gold. The back splat has a dramatic neoclassical style double dolphin motif in the shape of a lyre. The seat crest is embellished with carved acanthus and rocaille carving having a gadrooned border in gilt. Newly upholstered seat cushions in a cream toned fabric. The legs are gracefully splayed in the front ending with a subtle pad foot. The chairs are in very good, well-preserved condition. The frames are solid and sturdy having excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Sold as a grand set of 14.
