Set of Eight Louis XVI Style Bronze Ormolu Caned Dining Chairs
$7,800.00
Divine set of eight French mahogany dining chairs made in the grand Louis XVI taste. The set features rich, radiant mahogany frames with hand-caned oval balloon backs and seats. The chair aprons are embellished with bronze ormolu rosettes in the neoclassical style. The seats are supported by tapered, fluted legs ending with toupie feet. The design of the chairs is classic French with slim proportions and a light airy silhouette. The deep mahogany wood is beautifully contrasted by the natural finish on the caned surfaces. The caning is tight, intact, and woven by hand in the old world style. The chairs are structurally sound having an older restoration to the frames. Exceptional condition with a handsome profile and finishes. Sold as a set of eight.
