An organic modern set of four Joshua Tree dining chairs after the original by Ralph Lauren for E.J. Victor. The "Isla" dining armchairs produced by Alfredo Paredes feature a gracefully curved frame embellished with natural woven seagrass and banana bark. Each chair features a rounded back, sweeping sheltered arms, and a thick braided perimeter tracing the front legs, armrests, and arched rear crest rail. The woven surface, done in a dense seagrass and banana bark weave rope over a wood frame, alternates between broad, flattened braided strands and tighter rope-like edging, creating a curious visual contrast. The woven materials have a warm and sunned wheat or straw coloration with natural tonal variation, giving the chairs a tactile and handmade quality. Each armchair is fitted with a loose upholstered seat cushion and back pillow, finished in a striped textile consisting of sage green, blue, ochre, and brown toned accents on a neutral beige ground. The design of the chairs channels Organic Modern and Coastal Resort styles while maintaining tailored proportions suitable for modern and contemporary spaces. Alfredo Paredes label is present to underside of chairs. Arms measure 26" tall. The chairs were created for E.J. Victor who was the supplier for the original Ralph Lauren Home Joshua Tree dining chairs. The chairs are sturdy with solid joinery and construction in exceptional condition as seen in photos with a hand-made finish. The natural material has a lovely sun bleached finish and patina. Sold as a set of four chairs with matching cushions. The set is located at our Northern California warehouse ready for delivery and installation.
